Red Rocks isn’t just a concert venue — it’s a ritual. Every concert season brings a packed calendar and a wide range of sounds, moods, and moments that shape the experience of a night at the rocks. This guide is Social’s take on the Red Rocks concerts we’re planning around in 2026 — from bass-heavy electronic runs and jam band staples to indie favorites and fall closers, all part of the rhythm of the season we’re most excited to step into.

April: The Red Rocks Concert Season Wakes Up

INZO — April 3, 2026

INZO at Red Rocks feels expansive in the best way. His cinematic sound design pairs naturally with the scale of the venue — emotional builds, atmospheric drops, and a crowd that’s more reflective than rowdy. This is a “look around during the quiet moments” kind of night.

Sublime — April 17–18, 2026

Few catalogs feel as natural at Red Rocks as Sublime’s. Two nights of reggae-rock nostalgia, easy sing-alongs, and a crowd that feels more like a backyard party than a Red Rocks concert.

Wiz Khalifa — April 19, 2026

Wiz brings laid-back confidence and a catalog that thrives outdoors. Expect a relaxed crowd, plenty of head-nodding, and a night that never feels rushed.

Ice Cube — April 20, 2026

A legend in an iconic venue. Ice Cube’s presence alone commands attention, and Red Rocks adds weight to every lyric. A powerful, high-energy hip-hop night that bridges generations.

May: Indie, Jam, and Genre-Bending Sets

By May, Red Rocks starts to loosen its grip on spring. The air stays warm after sunset, crowds linger longer, and the calendar opens up into a mix of introspective indie, exploratory jams, and shows that blur genre lines entirely.

Bright Eyes — May 6, 2026

There’s a fragile intimacy to a Bright Eyes show, especially in a space this vast. Expect emotionally charged moments, near-silence between songs, and a crowd fully tuned in. It’s less about spectacle and more about shared vulnerability.

LSDREAM — May 16, 2026

LSDREAM’s daytime-to-night set is designed as an experience rather than a single moment. Heavy visuals, uplifting energy, and carefully paced transitions make this feel communal — a show that unfolds slowly and leaves the crowd feeling connected long after it ends.

Alabama Shakes — May 24–25, 2026

Two nights of soulful rock anchored by Brittany Howard’s commanding voice. At Red Rocks, her vocals feel both massive and intimate, filling the amphitheater without overpowering it. These shows strike a rare balance between raw power and emotional warmth.

Summer: Peak Red Rocks Energy

By June and July, Red Rocks hits its stride. Multi-night runs become the norm, jam bands stretch songs into journeys, and the venue feels less like a stop on a tour and more like a temporary home.

Trey Anastasio — June 7, 2026

As the frontman of Phish, Trey Anastasio has spent decades redefining what a live show can be — and that ethos carries fully into his solo sets. At Red Rocks, this becomes an exercise in patience and trust: long musical explorations, subtle shifts in tone, and extended improvisation that reward listeners willing to settle in. Time moves differently during shows like this, and that’s exactly the point.

Trevor Hall with Thievery Corporation & Dirtwire — June 14, 2026

This night feels curated for Red Rocks itself. Trevor Hall brings grounding, reflective songwriting, while Thievery Corporation layers in global rhythms and downtempo grooves that seem to echo naturally off the stone.

With Dirtwire and Poranguí rounding out the lineup, the evening leans deeply immersive — less about spectacle, more about flow, movement, and shared atmosphere. This is the kind of Red Rocks show that feels expansive, intentional, and quietly unforgettable.

The Avett Brothers — July 10–12, 2026

Three nights at Red Rocks have become a tradition for The Avett Brothers, and it’s easy to see why. Their blend of folk, rock, and emotional honesty creates an atmosphere that feels communal and familiar. Sing-alongs come easily here.

Late Summer & Fall at Red Rocks: The Slow Fade-Out

By late summer, Red Rocks starts to feel different. The crowds are seasoned. The stairs don’t surprise anyone anymore. Nights stretch longer, the air cools faster, and the shows tend to linger — emotionally, not just musically.

Tedeschi Trucks Band — July 31 & August 1, 2026

Tedeschi Trucks Band at Red Rocks is less about spectacle and more about craft. These two nights lean into slow-burning guitar work, soulful vocals, and the kind of musicianship that rewards patience. It’s the type of show where you stop checking your phone, settle into your seat, and realize halfway through that time has been moving differently than you thought.

Zac Brown Band — October 19–20, 2026

By October, Red Rocks feels almost cinematic. The air is crisp, the lights feel warmer, and familiar songs seem to hit a little deeper. Zac Brown Band’s catalog thrives in this setting — part nostalgia, part comfort — making these shows feel like a seasonal ritual rather than just another stop on the tour.

Cypress Hill & Method Man & Redman: Haunted Rocks — October 29, 2026

Haunted Rocks leans fully into the atmosphere of late October at Red Rocks — cooler air, darker skies, and a crowd ready for something a little heavier. Cypress Hill’s catalog brings a sense of grit and nostalgia that feels especially sharp in this setting, while Method Man and Redman add unmistakable energy and presence to the night. It’s a show built on legacy, personality, and pure performance — a fitting way to close out the Red Rocks season with something bold, loud, and unforgettable.

What to Smoke Before a Red Rocks Show

Red Rocks shows tend to be long — physically and emotionally — and most people plan accordingly. Many concertgoers keep things light and balanced before the show, opting for options that enhance the atmosphere without pulling focus from the music itself. It’s less about chasing intensity and more about settling into the night and letting it unfold.

With several locations throughout Denver, Social Dispensaries makes it easy to plan ahead. For Red Rocks nights specifically, Social Dispensary Golden is one of the most convenient stops before the drive to Morrison.

However you experience it, arrive early, take your time on the stairs, and give yourself a moment once you’re seated to look around. Red Rocks has a way of turning even a familiar artist into something unforgettable — especially when the night is planned just right.
